short hiatus

Pardon the short Hiatus, been very busy the past few days in preparation for holy week, BUUUUTTTT I'm so back now. Will blog about my holy week vacation and two events I've been to. Plus will post about my new camera which I bought very cheap on ebay- such a steal!! KEEP POSTED!!!

Temporary Relief

Had a reunion with College friends last Saturday. We had our dinner buffet at Pino Restaurant, warm brownie cup at La marea and stayed at Starbucks for awhile for some chitchat. What I love about us is that we always make it to a point to look good and glam whenever we see each other, talk about vanity and loads of pictures. I would like to extend my thanks to our former teacher who's now Pol.Sci chairman of University of San Carlos, Sir Poca for joining us and treating us for dinner. :)

Even if I'm a full time mom, I always make sure to spend some time with friends every now and then for temporary relief. Socializing with friends also helps you learn something new.

Chinese Wedding

Attended a Chinese Wedding last Monday. It was such a prior notice so I wasn't able to prepare an outfit. Going back to the wedding, I was culture shocked since its not our typical Filipino wedding. The couple is Chinese National, they're aliens here so to avoid huss - no legal authority or priest solemnized the wedding. Its like a gathering to announce the two are already married. Well from what I've heard, in China wedding is just like that, announcement and celebration only.No priest or judge needed. Wasn't able to take much picture because people might find me weird taking pictures of them. Most visitors are Chinese elites and business man from Cebu, some of them are from China.

Here's what I wore to the wedding, this is an impromptu outfit since I wasn't able to prepare one. Thank God for this maxi skirt which I bought for those "lazy days" when I can't think of something to wear, I thought this would be a perfect pair for those perfect white tee.

Don't you just love the versatality of this maxi skirt? When I bought this I thought it would only be for lazy days, but turned out to be glamorous and formal when matched with perfect accessories and shoes. You'll be surprise how much I got this, bought this at landmark for 280pesos. :))

sweet night at bonifacio high street

Went to bonifacio high street as part of my tour in manila, I've been to metro manila many times but I it was my first time to go to serendra since our house is situated in Quezon city so Bonifacio is kinda far. Well, I fell in love with the place and included to buy a unit there in my wishlist which I don't know if I can check it  hahaha... The place is child and pet friendly because of the open ground which you too will enjoy. This place is perfect for outfit post.

Anyone visiting metro manila should visit Bonifacio Highstreet, you'll get that "your not in the Philippines" feel in there. My bad wasn't able to try cupcakes by sonja since it was jampacked when we passed by and the cravings in me was already gone after dinner..

Product review: Myra E tinted Moisturizer

I'm currently LOVING this product.. I replaced my BB cream with this product..

I'm using the shade Ivory, I love the results. It gives your face natural and healthy glow,  plus it's a moisturizer so rest assured its good for your skin :)

That's me with Myra E tinted moisturizer in Ivory, see how my face looks healthy and blooming :) It's not a foundation, so don't expect full coverage but if you don't need that much coverage and your gifted with flawless face, then all you need is a concealer to cover your eye bags and a finishing powder for oil.

Pros
* Has vitamin E which is good for your skin
* You can use this as a replacement for foundation on times when you want to rest your skin from heavy make-up
* Gives healthy glow
* I love the dewy finish
* love the smell

Cons
*  I can't think of any for now since I'm only using this for 2weeks but will update this Incase I break out..

must have in every closet; my version..

I'm no fashion expert, but I've been selling clothes online for almost 5years plus reading fashion articles helped me come up with list for closet-must haves.. :)

That Little White Dress

I know it should be black, but I prefer white since In Philippines its part of our tradition not to wear black on Birthday parties. White is a very versatile color and you can match it with any accessories for the look you want to achieve. You can wear this for lunch parties, formal meetings, evening events or even just malling around. Trust me, white dress may look odd but it looks good when worn.. 

Nude pump wedge or platform

I know this should be black but I find nude more versatile and chic. Nude compliments almost any color, from floral dress, to formal dress to jeans. It looks good on feet. i prefer wedge and platform since its more comfortable compare to pumps. My love for this color is evident on my shoe collection most of my shoes are beige, nude or brown. 

Black Blazer

You should have atleast one black blazer in your closet please choose a cotton or the soft flowy one for the cloth since our weather is extra hot and sunny. Black blazer is very versatile and useful. It can be use for job interviews, meetings or just a plain cover-up to any outfit. It makes bare outfit automatically trendy.

Nice fit versatile jeans

You don't need numbers of jeans as long as you have one you can rely to at times when you don't feel like dressing up. Make sure the style fits your body type. 

Black bandage skirt

You should also have black bandage skirt you can pair with any top to look trendy and sexy in no time. I love the versatality of black bandage skirt. You can wear this for formal events, nighouts or just malling around :)

White Plain tee or White boyfriends polo

No doubt this is the most versatile thing you can have in your closet, you can mix and match for the look you want. May it be formal or laid back. Definitely must have!! This two are my savior at times when nothing seems to look good on me and that moment when "i have nothing to wear" mood strikes. 

Brown ballet flats

I just love the color brown, its eye-catching and elegant. Just like black,it will match almost any colors. This will make the plain Jane in you extra chic and will make your tired feet extra comfortable

Pearl Necklace

A pearl necklace will make outfit extra elegant and pretty.. This is very versatile and feminine.. I love pearls!

Black Statement belt

 

You should have black versatile statement belt since it can revamp and glam up any outfit. you can use this to add new look to your old or boring dress.

Lastly, Red Nail Polish

You should have a Red nail polish always ready in your closet, for those times when you have an impromptu event. A short nails always looks chic and classy with red nail polish :)

product review: ETUDE HOUSE happy tea time facial wash

Looking for a facial wash that won't dry and not too harsh for your face? Then EH's happy tea time facial wash is perfect for you. I'm currently using this happy tea time in peach tea after finishing one bottle  of it in aloe vera tea. Both smell really yummy and sweet! I love the smell.. I even got my sister and brother to try it and they're both loving it!! My sister who has sensitive face is loving this and she said this didn't gave her the blemishes she gets using beauty soaps which is too harsh and drying. After about a month of using it I found my face smooth, clear and a bit light. Don't get me wrong, this is not a whitening facial wash I'm also using toner which I will review later. For the mean time, here's a picture of my happy tea time in peach.. Price is only 149php..

This makes your facial cleansing regimen extra exciting since it smells really good  :)

After washing your face, you will notice that your face is clear and clean..
